Chiropractic Care for the Entire Family in Knoxville

I wanted my husband to try a chiropractor in Knoxville because he frequently complained about neck and lower back pain. I also thought, many times, about “one day” taking my children to a chiropractor, to see if it would help with ear infections. I had NO idea that I was the one who would receive so much help from chiropractic care! Not long after I was married, I got up from the couch one day and had pain shoot from my hip all the way down my leg. It was so severe that I had to catch myself from falling to the floor. For 12 years, I dealt with that same pain off and on. Sometimes, my leg would completely give out. The pain was most severe during my last month of pregnancy. I could not get out of bed without help and would usually cry out in pain. No x-rays could be done during pregnancy and even after that, my doctor was not sure what to do because the pain was not steady. So, I just dealt with it and over time, I developed a slight limp.

When my husband and I were offered a free assessment from Dr. Kristin, we gladly accepted. I was so excited that my husband was going to, hopefully, get the help he needed. His assessment showed that he did indeed need help, but my situation was actually much worse. I found out that my spine is curved, my pelvis is turned, and one leg is shorter than the other. Since we live in Harriman, the thought of driving an hour each way, 3x/week, was very discouraging. I knew, though, that I was in bad shape and I wanted to see how they could help. We have two children ages 6 and 8. The doctors were very kind to work out the best plan for our whole family to receive care. For every visit, we are in and out quickly. My children were never scared to go and have never said that it was painful in any way.

Within a month, I noticed a difference. I was walking up my sidewalk one day, and all of a sudden, I noticed that I was walking normally. I lost my limp! We have now been receiving care for four months now, and I have no hip or leg pain! It has been worth the drive! Before, I did not think that there was any hope of getting help with my pain. I certainly had no idea that chiropractic care would be the answer. I am grateful to God for Thrive Chiropractic. Thank you, Drs. Kristin and Ryan for reaching out to truly help people.
